Shinwa Bussan Kaisha Ltd, founded in 1941, is a company specializing in metal products. Throughout our history, we have been fulfilling the role of supplying important raw materials and marketing products to key industries.
In our early years, we handled ferro alloys exclusively and, as a long established dealer, we had sales of US$29 million (J.¥3 billion) worth of ferro alloys to steel makers.
In addition to ferro alloys, raw materials, stainless steel and aluminium were added later.
After that, we expanded our scope of business to include rare earth elements, titanium, chemicals and electronic materials.
As our customers are leading firms of various key industries who are promoting and developing technology in their respective fields, they are constantly confronting new materials and market needs, and we are playing an important part in coordinating these requirements through our global network.

1947. Aug Due to the disorganization of Mitsui & Co., Ltd. after the World War II, ex-CEO Hiroharu Ueda succeeded Tsuda Koki which was established by Katsugoro Tsuda in Jan.11th,1941. He changed the corporate name into Shinwa Bussan Kaisha Ltd.and arranged its lineup, providing mainly ferro alloys and steel products to the steel industry as a specialized trading company. Nevertheless, Shinwa Bussan started supplying various kinds of metals and master alloys to the aluminum industry in the 1960s and new materials such as rare earth to the most advanced technology industry in the 1980s. Following this, its import volume was increased, and Shinwa Bussan expanded its real-estate rental business as stable source of income.
1956. Mar Shinwa Bussan opened its Tokyo Branch office, aiming to expand its trade operation and find potential customers.
1969. Oct Shinwa Bussan set apart its division of steel products, and concentrated it's business by focusing on the deal of raw materials.
1970. Aug Shinwa Bussan built its Itami branch office with warehouse No.1
1971. May Shinwa Bussan added on its Itami branch office with warehouse No.2.
1972. Oct Shinwa Bussan added on its Itami branch office with warehouse No.3.
1975. May Having completed its fifth expansion of the site and enlargement of a building, Shinwa Bussan owned 5,067m2premises and 2,917m2floor area.
1976. Dec Shinwa Bussan purchased a business office in Osaka Ekimae Dai-ni Bldg.
1979. Dec Shinwa Bussan purchased Yotsubashi Soraru Kiyoga Bldg, and started real-estate rental business.
1984. May Shinwa Bussan established its Techno division by focusing on developing a demand for new materials and its sales.
1997. Dec Shinwa Bussan purchased 182m2premises on lease for its company housing at Nakano-ku Tokyo
1999. July After remodeling in its company house in Nakano-ku,Tokyo, Shinwa Bussan started the lease of the building.
2000. June Having purchased a room of Higashi Nakano Apartment, Tokyo,with the first basement level area of 175m2, and started lease of the room for a convenience shop.
2005. Oct Having concluded an Exclusive Agency agreement with German company, GfE Metalle und Materialien GmbH, Shinwa Bussan acquired exclusive marketing rights for all products in Japan except 'Target materials' for coating.
2006. Apr Shinwa Bussan have registered 'Tokyo Head office' as it's headquarter, with the former headquarter as 'Osaka Branch office'
2008. June Tokyo Head office moved to new address : Shimbashi SY Bldg. 4F,12-14-2 Nishishimbashi,Minato-ku、Tokyo Japan
